Both incidents involve three black males

CHARLESTON -- Charleston police are warning people to be careful walking at night on the West Side.
Two separate robberies happened this week that involved three black males approaching the victims, accosting them and taking their wallets.
The first one happened around 8:15 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 800 block of Indiana Avenue.
The second one occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 300 block of Maryland Avenue.
In the first incident, the three black males were wearing white t-shirts, dark pants, masks and white gloves.
In the second incident, three black males were wearing all dark or black clothing and one showed a knife.
Police aren't saying the two are related, but are investigating.
