BECKLEY -- A Halloween celebration gives preschoolers permission to dress in their costumes a little early this year.
The United Methodist Temple in Beckley hosted its annual Fall Festival Thursday, Oct. 29.
Kids two to four years old who participate in the church's preschool program were treated to some candy, games and other goodies.
Parents also took some time to hang out with their kids and dress up.
Organizers say it's an opportunity to take a break from their routine. "It's just fun for the kids. Even thought they're learning about God here, they also have to have fun and this is one of the days we take out for them to just have fun," said Virginia Amick, Preschool Director.
The preschool classes participate in several celebrations throughout the year.
Teachers said the kids will dress as pilgrims and Indians for Thanksgiving.
The United Methodist Temple is just off of Robert C Byrd Drive in Beckley.
