Weirton Man Arrested on Murder Charge

Michael Truax, 47, is set to be arraigned on a murder charge at 9 a.m. Friday.

A local man is behind bars facing a second-degree murder charge.

Michael Truax, 47, was booked on a felony murder charge out of Weirton on Saturday, according to the Northern Regional Jail.

He is being held on $250,000 bond. Truax is set to appear again in Hancock County Magistrate Court 9 a.m. Friday. No other information is available at this time.

WTRF's calls to weirton police have not been returned.
