The suspect was listed as a sexual offender from a previous incident

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Investigators with the Scioto County Sheriff's department arrested a Minford man on charges he sexually assaulted a 3-year old boy.

Sheriff Marty Donini said the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Nov. 29, that the child had been sexually assaulted.

Tyler Burchett, 18, of Minford was charged with one count of gross sexual imposition.

Burchett is listed as a sex offender from previous charges which requires him to register as a sexual offender.

Burchett is being held in the Scioto County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

When will our law makers ever get it. If sex offenders were handled the way they should be, there would be no such thing as a REPEAT OFFENDER. How many children have to suffer and/or die at the hands fo a REPEAT OFFENDER before they get it.
