MOUNT NEBO -- A man is severely injured after a tire explodes at a rest stop in Nicholas County.
It happened just before 7 p.m. Friday at the U-Save Travel Plaza on U.S. Route 19 in Mount Nebo.
According to Nicholas County 911 dispatchers, the victim was transported by HealthNet Helicopter to Charleston Area Medical Center. No word on his condition, but he was described as severely injured.
Wilderness Fire Department and Janco Ambulance responded to the scene. The cause of the tire explosion is under investigation. |
