ELKINS -- The Elkins detachment of the West Virginia State Police has issued a "be on the lookout" for a Randolph County girl.
Cherokee Montana Jackson, 3, went to visit her father in Proctorville, Ohio on Nov. 14, according to her mother Heidi Jackson, and did not return.
Troopers have not stated whether they think the little girl is in danger, but say they have asked that any officer who comes into contact with her check her welfare.
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department in Ohio is investigating the matter as an interference with custody.
