The seminar was put on by RCBI.

CLARKSBURG -- Almost 30 people from local businesses got a lesson is "lean manufacturing", Thursday.

The Robert C. Byrd Institute hosted the seminar, at Lockheed Martin, in Clarksburg.

The seminar focused on eliminating non-valuable activity from the manufacturing process.

Organizers said it was an important lesson in today's economy.

The seminar included people from the aeronautics, wood, and retail industries, among others.

Another seminar will be held in January.
