Ritchie County Man Sentenced for Store Break-In

HARRISVILLE -- A Ritchie County man has been sentenced for breaking into Barker's Store in Smithville.

Keith Lamp, 24, will spend a year in prison for his misdemeanor convictions, and another 1 to 5 years in prison for his felony conviction.

Lamp pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy charges, and misdemeanor petit larceny and destruction of property charges on Aug. 21, 2009.

He will also have to pay $2,995 in restitution for damage done to the store during the break-in.

Deputies arrested Lamp and another man, John Frederick Fisher, in March.

Lamp is in the North Central Regional Jail.
