Customers will have little to no water for several hours Saturday.
CHARLESTON -- According to a press release issued by West Virginia American Water, residents living in the areas of McClung Avenue, Merritt Street, Huntington Avenue and Collins Court in Barboursville should expect a disruption in their water service for several hours on Saturday, November 14th. After their water service returns to normal, they will be under a precautionary boil water advisory until further notice.
The press release states that residents living in these areas will have little to no water from at least 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. Approximately 75 to 100 customers will be affected.
The planned service disruption is a result of a water main and valve replacement project that will allow West Virginia American Water to continue offering the reliable service its customers deserve and expect. The weekend was chosen for this planned outage so that a local elementary school would not be affected during school hours.
