FOLLANSBEE -- City leaders in Follansbee saluted military veterans today during a ceremony at 11 a.m. outside of the American Legion on Main Street.

Those killed in World Wars I and II as well as the Korean, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Dozens packed the downtown as residents sang patriotic songs and fired off a 21 gun salute.

The Follansbee Middle School also performed during the event.

The city of Steubenville held a similar event at the Old Fort Steuben.
