It is a domestic homicide case, San Diego police said.

CLARKSBURG -- A couple wanted for questioning in a case being investigated in Clarksburg, was arrested Friday night in San Diego.

Christopher Robey, 26, of Stonewood and Megan Titus, 21, of Salem, were picked up by San Diego police in an area known as Hotel Circle around 7 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, officials said.

Robey had recently been arrested on a domestic violence charge in the Hotel Circle area, which led investigators back there on Friday night, San Diego police said.

The officers in San Diego found the couple's car, using a vehicle and license plate description the department received from Clarksburg police, officials said.

With the help of a helicopter, police found the couple hiding in the brush along a riverbed and arrested them without incident, San Diego police said.

The couple were wanted for questioning in a domestic homicide case in Clarksburg, according to San Diego police.

San Diego authorities did not have further details on the homicide case, but did say that West Virginia officials confirmed to them that the couple was extraditable.

Clarksburg police would only say that the pair is wanted for questioning in a Clarksburg case, but would not confirm that it was a homicide case.

All other questions were referred to the Harrison County Prosecutor's Office, who confirmed that the pair are wanted on warrants and by the Clarksburg police for questioning.

The prosecutor's office could not confirm the reference to the homicide case.

Both have capias warrants issued on obstructing charges in Harrison County Magistrate Court.

Robey's warrant was issued on Nov. 5, after he did not show up for a pre-trial hearing, according to court records.

Titus' warrant was issued on Oct. 13, after she failed to appear at a hearing, records show.

Court records also show that Titus had a capias warrant issued for her on Sept. 25 when she did not appear for a hearing on a shoplifting charge.

Robey is being held in the San Diego Central Jail, while Titus is being held in the Las Colinas Detention Facility.

Both are being held without bail.

I hope they put the trash out for the garbage man. Its just a shame that they will bring trash like this back to WV and we the tax payers have to keep their sorry soles. All of these people are just fine examples of the great citizens we have in Salem. The police in this town are more concerned with stopping someone with a license plate light out then they are cleaning the trash off the streets. The sad part is they are friends with all the drug dealers and let them get away with it. The hard working folks suffer in this town. Leave them in CA and send them to death at San Quentin

I feel the same way sometimes about the crime that goes unreported in the area. I'm not sure if it is the police not reporting it or the media not picking it up. However, I hear a lot of things from friends and family in the Harrison county area that never make the news.

I used to mess around with her a year or 2 ago, i quit messin with her cuz she was runnin with chris's younger brother, I moved back to my hometown not too long after that. they was supposed to join the army but I guess it fell thru for atleast her. She never gave me the impression of a murderer tho, she was a lil wierd, and really shady, but she never gave the me the vibe that she was a killer. I cant see cold blooded murder, but who knows right? let the judge decide...or jury... pce.. Z

Seems the police are keeping quiet on a lot of different murders and other crimes lately. I'm not sure whether it's actually due to the cases they're investigating or keeping silent to prevent panic in the communities. Either way, they're keeping many things hush hush.

I'm sure it's of a murder that the general public didn't even know happened.

Apparently Robey was in California on Oct. 9 because he was arrested then for a domestic charge, so I'm guessing it was a Clarksburg murder that happened before that date.

Hey, you're the "newshound," you tell us!
