WAYNE -- The case against a South Carolina man charged in last week's fatal accident in Kenova will now be heard by a grand jury.

Kenova police said Michael Joyce, 43, was driving a semi-truck, when his rear wheels knocked the victim out of his motorized wheelchair. The accident happened Oct. 26, near Oak Street and 14th Street.

The victim, Deris Scott, 68, died at the scene. Joyce faces felony charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and negligent homicide, which is a misdemeanor charge.
