MULLENS -- Ghosts, goblins, and even some Disney princesses were roaming the streets of Mullens Saturday night.
Fire and police personnel shut down a section of Moran Avenue as hundreds of children eager for candy flooded the area.
We talked to some residents handing out candy, they said this is Mullens' time to shine.
Jason Mullins is a resident of Mullens, he said "It's actually several hundred dollars worth of candy we give on Halloween night. We love to see the kids enjoy themselves, and the parents enjoy themselves too."
It was a wet night in Mullens, but that didn't dampen the spirits of trick-or-treaters.
Like most counties in the surrounding areas, patrols were stepped up.
By all accounts trick or treating went off without a hitch in Mullens Saturday evening.
