JANE LEW -- A Lewis County man is behind bars after a 45 minute stand off with police.
The incident started as a domestic dispute in the town of Jane Lew, Sunday afternoon.
Terry Garton, 48, was arrested and charged with three counts of wanton endangerment.
Garton, according to the state police, fired three shots from a high powered rifle into a home. There were six people inside the home at the time, police said. All three shots struck the house; no one was injured.
Garton was standing in a near by graveyard as he fired the rifle, police believe.
Police tracked Garton to his residence on Broad Run Road.
After a 45 minute standoff outside of Garton's car, he was apprehended and taken into custody, said police.
Garton was taken to the Central Regional Jail where he's facing six counts of wanton endangerment.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Department, State Police and Weston City Police all responded to the scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
