The highway re-opened shortly before 1 p.m.

POINT PLEASANT -- Route 35 in Mason County was re-opened at 12:53 p.m. after being closed for a couple of hours, according to a 911 dispatcher.

The highway was completely shut down late Friday morning after an I-beam fell from a tractor-trailer about 5 miles south of Point Pleasant, according to 911 dispatchers.

The 110-foot, 38,000-pound I-beam is laying across both lanes of the highway near Stover Trucking, a dispatcher said.
