MOUNDSVILLE -- A Marshall County man is behind bars after the Sheriff's Department said he was involved in a standoff with them and West Virginia State Police Wednesday night.

Chad White, 36, is being held in the Northern Regional Jail on multiple charges after the incident.

Marshall County Sheriff John Gruzinskas said deputies were called to a house on a report of a domestic violence protection order being violated, and when they arrived, White held them in a standoff from the front porch.

"The suspect was being arrested for several things. When we encountered him, we had multiple agencies at the scene. It was a very violent confrontation and he was taken into custody," Gruzinskas said.

White remains behind bars in the Northern Regional Jail.

Yeah Dan, I am so sure that the other people involved in the incident would love the details given out. Maybe if there were kids you can even put their pictures. Come on.. it's called a little privacy. Maybe we could be a little less blood-thirsty next time :)

He resisted arrested this man is crazy and what he did to his ex girlfriend was wrong. He is definetly guilty and he'll face the music. Its just a shame that the two people from marshall county that sexually assaulted a 15 year old family member and the female in the case had 10 felonies and only got a 50 thousand dollar bond how is this possible. A crime against the child this guy had a 250 thousand dollar bond and he's already revoked two other bonds and should have been in jail already why was he walking the streets. Marshall county is the worst yet. Someone really needs to go down there and straighten that place out. Let all these ciminals run free!

Hey Dave, what exactly did he do? What's with the vague news stories? A "standoff " and a "violent confrontation" ? Did he hold them at gun point? Beat the cops up? Or just stand there and call them names?
