Three Facing Breaking and Entering Charges in Scioto County

The three men were arrested Monday.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- The Scioto County Sheriff's office arrested three South Webster men on multiple charges.

Sheriff Marty Donini said his office received a call on Monday, Oct. 19, that a house in South Webster had been broken into.

Deputies responded and found a house under construction had been broken into with over $9,000 worth of tools stolen.

While detectives were working on the investigation, they received information that possible suspects were in Jackson County, Ohio, trying to sell some of the stolen items.

Deputies from Jackson County responded and detained subjects until Scioto County deputies and detectives could arrive.

During the investigation three South Webster houses were searched which resulted in the recovery of the stolen items along with marijuana.

Joshua Adams, 21, is charged with breaking and entering and criminal tools.

Adams is being held in the Scioto County jail on a $5,000 bond.

Steven Richards, 31, is charged with receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a bench warrant for no drivers license.

Richards is being held on a $6,610 bond.

Michael Tilley, 29, is charged with breaking & entering a felony, criminal tools and possession of marijuana.

Tilley had an outstanding warrant out of Jackson County, Ohio and will be extradited back to Scioto County after he has been arraigned in Jackson County.

The Sheriff said this is still an ongoing investigation and more charges could follow.
