One man has died and two others were injured in an accident early Sunday morning in Ritchie County.
It happened at about 3:30 a.m., at the intersection of U. S. Route 50 and Bunnell's Run.
Daniel Bennett, 22, of Parkersburg, was crossing Route 50 in his 1992 extended cab Ford Ranger, when he was t-boned by David Fisher, 23, of Sandyville, according to Trooper A. M. Pringle, of the Ritchie County detachment.
The impact killed Bennett's passenger, Dustin Smith, 24, of Harrisville.
Bennett's license is revoked for driving under the influence, Pringle says, and it is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor in this accident.
It was very foggy at the time, according to Pringle, and was it difficult to see.
Bennett was taken to a hospital in Parkersburg, before being transferred a Charleston hospital, where Pringle said he remained unconscious as of Monday afternoon.
Fisher also went to Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg to be treated for head injuries.
Bennett will at least face charges for driving on a revoked license, Pringle says, but other charges may be pending.
