LOST CREEK -- Several United Methodist Churches gathered in Lost Creek Sunday afternoon to help out childhood victims of abuse and neglect.

Eight churches, including Pleasant Hill, New Bethel, Sycamore, West Milford, Mt. Clare, Johnstown, Rockford, and Lost Creek United Methodist, filled a booth with items to donate to the Burlington Children's Home.

The home offers services to children who are victims of physical or sexual abuse or neglect.

Organizers said the collection is a huge help to the Children's Home.

"It's fantastic. Usually we have to have two vans and we usually are cramming stuff in to get it all in there," said Nick Reed of the Burlington United Methodist Family Services. "They give us all kinds of non-perishable items, shampoo, toothpaste, just stuff that we really need, you know, throughout the year."

If you would like to donate to the Burlington Children's Home, call (304) 289-6010.
