GREEN SULPHUR SPRINGS -- An accident involving multiple vehicles shut down one lane of Interstate 64, Thursday, Oct. 8.
It happened at around 8 p.m. in the westbound lanes at mile marker 142. That is just before the Green Sulphur Springs exit.
Initial reports came in that a person was traveling the wrong way down the interstate. It still isn't clear if that is what caused the accident or how many people were injured.
The Summers County Sheriff's Department and State Police are investigating the accident.
