GLENVILLE -- Demolition workers are hard at work at Glenville State College this week.

The workers are tearing down the old physical plant to make way for a new residence facility.

The new dorm will have almost nearly 500 rooms.

Glenville State's president says the it will make life easier for incoming and second year students.

"This is a new style dorm where you'll have two students sharing one bathroom or at most you'll have four sharing an enlarged bathroom. It'll have the latest in technology. They'll be able to use wireless internet. It's just a real exciting time for Glenville State College," said Dr. Peter Barr.

Barr says the new residence facility should be partially open by August of next year and fully open by 2011.
