Man Killed in Monongalia County Auto-Pedestrian Accident

It happened Wednesday night on Point Marion Road.

MORGANTOWN -- A Pennsylvania man was killed in an auto-pedstrian accident, Wednesday night in Monongalia County.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. on Point Marion Road, across from Cottrells Store.

Robert Baker, 43 of Dilliner, Pa., was walking across the road when he was hit by an SUV, sheriff's deputies say.

Baker was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Baker was hit by a 2002 Dodge Durango, driven by Linda Wolfe, 56 of Point Marion, Pa., deputies say.

The Cheat Lake Volunteer Fire Department and Monongalia County EMS responded to the scene.

The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation.
