MORGANTOWN -- The Knights and Flowers, a group of Catholic home-schooling families, were busy washing cars Saturday at the Burger King on Patterson Drive in Morgantown.
Students and their parents scrubbed cars to benefit the Labor of Love Ministries and its New Beginnings maternity home in Morgantown.
"This is an easy way to get them to participate, they feel like they're contributing to helping these moms get a new start and get on their feet," says parent Louise Deal.
"We've done other service projects too but this is an active one for them," says Deal.
The WVU Newman Club also participated in the Car Wash for Life.
They were at the Advanced Auto Parts on Beechurst Avenue.
The club's proceeds go to the St. Ursula Gabriel Project for new moms.
