Wheeling, WV -- Today is September 11th a day to look back and reflect on the tragedy that unfolded 8 years ago, but its also a day many are taking to thank our local veterans.
At the Veterans Center in Bethlehem this morning an informational job fair was held.
Several businesses were on hand talking about employment and what those in attendance could do to acquire a job. This job fair is geared to helping local veterans.
And on a serene anniversary like today, even state legislators say remembering and helping the men and women who fought and died for our country is a job for all of us.
Senator Jack Yost of WV 1st. District said, "you know they have made the ultimate sacrifice. They have served their country and we need to serve them now whether its being employment or any avenue we can assist them. We need to step up to the plate as citizens and Americans and help our veterans."
The job fair is located at the Bethlehem Plaza and will last for a couple more hours.
It is open and free to the public and any local veteran looking for employment is urged to stop and grab any information.
Later tonight on 7News and WTRF.com we'll tell you what's being done to help local vets and what program is helping them find jobs.
