WHEELING -- Thursday marks the official beginning to the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Gradually the roads will start getting busier. West Virginia State Police said that their patrols started Thursday night and they were going to focus on Route 88 near Bethany and West Liberty. Seat belt violators and those driving under the influence will be under watchful eye.
Crews will also be focusing on U.S. Route 22 to the north. Also if you're travelling this holiday weekend you may want to allow yourself some extra time due to the construction on I-70 near Cabela’s.
