JACOBSBURG, Ohio -- It's an appalling case of animal abuse.

But a witness with a keen eye for detail called the Belmont County Sheriff's Department, and now two men are in jail.

It happened Tuesday night on Mt. Victory Road near Jacobsburg.

Two men in a pick-up truck stopped and threw a small kitten against a stop sign.

The witness called the sheriff's department and a deputy tracked down the two suspects, and jailed them for animal cruelty.

The witness picked up the kitten and took it to the vet.

There's no word yet on its condition.

These toilet bowl smears need to be shot out of a cannon against a brick wall to give them a taste of their own brand of entertainment. Start prosecuting harshly for abusers!!!! There IS a correlation for those that abuse/torture animals to child abuse and other crimes. I hope the little kitten survives and finds a loving home.

Why are criminals who commit crimes against animals and children ever punshied? If there were harsher punishment for these losers maybe less crime would occur. They will just get a slap on the wrist and its bullcrap!
