Accident Closes Portion of Route 50 East in Ritchie County

It happened just before 2:00 am Friday morning.

NUTTER FARM -- A portion of Route 50 in Ritchie County is closed Friday morning after an accident involving a tractor trailer.

Both east-bound lanes of Route 50 are closed between Goose Creek and Nutter Fork roads, according to authorities.

No word on if or how traffic is being detoured.

So they didn't tell you about the detour until you were 5 miles past the route to detour. I had to go back 50W and get on 31N, 2N, 16S, then back to 50E right where the Dairy Queen/Ellenboro comes out. Terrible detour, but the only one, I think. Hope anyone involved was ok.
