CLARKSBURG -- The Harrison County Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday.

The agenda included a proposed new football field for Liberty High School.

Liberty currently plays its games at Hite Field in Clarksburg. The board has hired Thrasher Engineering to draw up plans for a stadium behind the high school. If the plans for the new field don't include sufficient parking, the board will look at plans to build the $2.5 million stadium at Hite Field. Thrasher will also look at the cost of laying down turf instead of grass.
