Robert Hunt was reported missing Wednesday night.

WALKERSVILLE -- Authorities have found the body of a missing Lewis County man.

State police at the Weston detachment received a missing persons call, just after 10:00 p.m., when Robert Hunt, 39 of Walkersville, failed to return home from a fishing trip.

Just before 10:00, Thursday morning, searchers found Hunt's body in the West Fork River, near his home.

State police believe his death was related to a medical problem.

Hunt suffers from epileptic seizures, troopers say.

The state police, Lewis County sheriff's deputies, fire departments and two tracking dogs searched for Hunt, Wednesday night.

They found some of his belongings along the river bank, near Walkersville Road, but his tackle box and chair were missing.

The State Police Search and Rescue Team joined the effort on Thursday.
