BECKLEY -- We're watching for more of the same weather-wise today, with only a change in temperatures expected. After reaching near 70 degrees Tuesday, today's highs will warm even more - into the mid to upper 70s for most. A few locations, like Welch and Pineville, will likely see the low 80s on their thermometers.
High pressure keeps skies sunny again today, so have the sunglasses and sunscreen on before heading outdoors.
Clear skies remain overnight, with lows dipping to around 50 degrees. Eastern valley spots will likely drop into the mid 40s.
Mostly sunny conditions stay with us Thursday, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.
Moisture will be on the increase as we move into the end of the week and weekend. This will lead to milder morning lows (mid to upper 50s), more cloud cover and the chance of a few showers.
We'll still enjoy plenty of sunshine under partly cloudy skies on Friday and Saturday, but will watch for the slight chance of a few raindrops during the afternoon or evening hours.
The possibility of a PM shower or storm will be a bit greater on Sunday and Monday, but even then the chance isn't too high. Neither day will be a wash out, but it's a good idea to keep a backup indoor plan in case a shower pops up during your picnic or gathering.
