MILL CREEK -- The PSD says this is the third time it has received the award. It will use the money to complete a sewer project serving Dailey, East Dailey, and Valley Head.
The USDA says it chose the Huttonsville PSD for the award because it has a proven track record for completing infrastructure projects.
The PSD says aside from the sewer project, it has $7.9 million in grants and loans to build a new water treatment plant, which will provide water from Elkins to Mingo.
The Randolph County Development Authority says it's excited about the projects.
"Infrastructure development is so critical, particularly in the rural outreaches of the county. And the fact that this is such a comprehensive project through the Tygarts Valley is just tremendous for Randolph County," says Jennifer Giovannitti, with the Randolph County Development Authority.
The USDA will also distribute funds for water projects through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Belington will receive about $3 million, Elkins will receive about $29 million, $7.7 million will go to Philippi, the Huttonsville PSD will get $1.9 million and Monongah will receive about $2 million.
