As a staff reporter for The State Journal, Paul Darst has covered a variety of topics including transportation, education and finances.
Darst joined the staff in May of 2006. He is a 1993 and 1997 graduate of Marshall University, and has degrees in history and journalism. During his career, Darst has worked for newspapers in West Virginia and Ohio, including the Parkersburg Sentinel and the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram. He lived in San Antonio, Texas, for four years where he worked on the staff of a peer reviewed medical journal.
Darst is a native of Mason County and now lives near Point Pleasant with his two children.
